Parent & Me with Ms. Angela @ Tower Grove Park

Geared towards ages 2 – 3 years

Tuesdays OR Thursdays 9:30am – 10:45am

AND

Saturdays 10:15 am – 11:30 am

Come with your child to enjoy the magic of the Urban Wild together. The group of caregivers and children will share in nature play and rituals as spring blossoms at the park. A welcoming circle time includes nature songs and music-making to anchor open-ended exploratory walks, to observe and discover the wonders all around, facilitated by Ms. Angela. The class ends with a story and simple snack provided.

Along the way, parents will have a chance to learn about common native and wild edible plants growing in this area as well as gain tips for how to encourage and support their young child’s play outside.

Parent & Me classes are 7 weeks long. Another sibling under or over the target age can join for free. The Tuesday/Thursday groups will be meeting on the EAST side of the park to explore the new unearthed stream and includes a field trip to Hidden Alley Community Garden. The Saturday group will be meeting on the WEST side of the park to explore that area and will include a visit to the TGP stables.
